Hi Everyone;

I was wondering if there was a way to search specific levels in the TMS hierarchy modules. For example, We are a natural history museum, so we have a taxonomy hierarchy that goes through kingdom to species levels. If we executed a term search through this hierarchy, it will only pull matching terms at the lowest level. This means that when searching for a term at the family level (ie Vauxiidae), it pulls only those records that have been identified to that level, and nothing identified further down the hierarchy (ie to the genus Vauxia). We are encountering similar issues with the geology module.

We had previously been using attributes which are individually searchable, but had recently decided to switch to hierarchies and so we are somewhat new to their functionality. Is searching within these hierarchies possible if the search term is embedded within the hierarchy? I’ve included the query that we use to search for these terms.

Feel free to contact me off of the listserv (email: [log in to unmask]).

Thanks in advance;
