Hi Rhondda,

We have also noticed that the “not equal” to searches are extremely difficult to devise. Occasionally we have created work arounds-using the other operators available. I would be interested in hearing how other institutions handle these types of searches.

Sincerely,

Sylvia,

Subject: Searching for Thes terms

Hello TMS users,

I am creating an Advanced Query that searchers for a Term from the thesaurus that does not match “book”. When I run the query changing the Relation to Equal to it works as expected.

Is there a reason my search is incompatible ?  Am I missing something ?

We’re running TMS2010.

Thanks

Rhondda
