For some reason I can’t figure this one out; part of that is because we are new to TMS.  Say I have an object numbered ROME250 and I want to make 75 copies of it with the numbering being sequential so the last number is ROME325 (all other information is copied over to the new records).  We will want to be able to do this when we collect multiples of the same type of specimen, say 75 ground beetles from the same location and each one is assigned its own unique number.

I start with File->Add Object->Copy Object.  If my Primary Number is ROME250 and I select Copy Range and enter 1 – 75 then I end up with the last number being ROME25075 instead of ROME325.

If my Primary Number is ROME25 and I select Copy Range and enter 1-75 then my last number is ROME2575.

Simply adding a new object with a count of 75 only gives me one new record with an object count of 75.  Basically I’m looking for a version of the Single Copy that allows me to make multiple copies of the same object.

Thanks for any insight you can provide,

Brad
