Dear James,

We let our strategic goals drive the review process in selection of sites, geographically and otherwise.

We found that MOMS helped us get to communities we otherwise didn't reach, so we focused on inviting the underserved to host the exhibits.

We consider this program to be capacity-building for small, rural museums, so focused on those, with the exception of the urban trial for The Way We Worked, where we took the program to larger libraries and museums in diverse, underserved urban communities.

Best wishes!

Josephine

Hi James,
We developed the attached site evaluation rubric for Water/Ways.  Although it's not reflected on the rubric, in discussion we did weight some of the selection criteria more heavily than others.

Hello Everyone,

In Michigan, we are currently in the process of reviewing applications to host Water/Ways.  The pool of applicants this time around has been amazing both in terms of quantity and quality and it is forcing us to rethink how we select sites.

I was wondering if any councils use a scoring rubric for determining host sites?  Overall, if you are able to share, I would be very interested to know your procedures for selecting your Museum on Main Street sites?

Thanks for your help and please feel free to write me back on the listserv or [log in to unmask].

Thanks,

James
