To answer your question I reviewed the TMS Third Party Compatibility document.  This link is to the compatibility document for TMS 2017 but it also covers Windows operating system versions all the way back to TMS 2012.

 

TMS 2012 is not certified to be compatible with Windows 10, meaning that Gallery Systems has not performed a full test of the application running on that Windows version.  

 

Here is the table from that technical document, showing the Windows and TMS compatibilities:

* = Windows 7 Service Pack 1.  Windows 7 and Server 2008 RTM (base release with no service packs) are not supported for TMS 2016.  They lost Microsoft support in January 2016.

** = Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 8.0 and 8.1 in January, 2016. The only currently supported version is ¡°Windows 8.1 Update¡± or higher. Detecting the presence of KB2919355 installed is the best way to differentiate between versions 8.1 and 8.1 update.

^ = Note 1: Windows 10 must be at least on Build 1607 (also called ¡°Anniversary Update¡±).  This has been increased from earlier 3^rd Party versions citing build 1511.

Dear All,

 

I have been told that I am getting a new machine, which runs Windows 10.  As many of you probably know from my grumblings of late, we are still operating 2012, with hopes to upgrade.  Apologies for the grumblings, I know I¡¯m not alone!

 

Anyhow, before catastrophe strikes, does anyone know whether or not 2012 is OK to run on Windows 10?
