Hello All,

Here at the Australian National Maritime Museum we too are also experiencing TMS data loss from some of our curatorial staff.  We’re using TMS2012 (version 9.39.3939). Often the loss is reported when using the UDF on both desktop computers and Microsoft tablets.

Our IT team has been in touch with GS but to date no cause has been identified other than ‘server connectivity’.

We’ve only been able to replicate the loss once – it was actually visible in the audit trail – but GS were unable to provide any causes for it.

We are hoping to upgrade in the next 12 months, has anyone experienced data loss after upgrading ?

We’re still in TMS 2012 too, and several data entry staff have lost work when TMS has crashed, despite the fact that they’ve entered multiple different fields (meaning each one should have been saved) before the crash happened.

Hoping the problem will clear up in TMS 2017!

Hi Rodger,

Yes, I experienced this issue in TMS 2012, when working in designer forms. In my case, moving the cursor to a different field before moving to the next object record seemed to get the data entry written to the database. Navigating away from a record with the cursor still in an edited field resulted in the new data not being saved to the database. This behavior was particular to custom object data entry forms.

Dear TMS users,

We have one staff member who insists that TMS is not saving her work. She has reported this several times claiming that if the computer goes to sleep, her changes are not saved. I suggested she start using "control s" which she has done but she still claims that TMS is not saving her work, regardless of whether she is working at her workstation or on a laptop. She indicates that she has been working mostly with text fields, specifically LongText5 which we are using for Public Description.

No one else reports having any problems.

Has anyone else experienced this?

We are on TMS 2012 (Version 9.39.3934).

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
