Heather, Exhibitions were planned using our legacy system, so we just brought it into TMS. And it makes sense, because once an exhibition is green-lighted, all we have to do it change the status.

1. No, not currently – but we would very much like to and are trying to figure out how to do this with the least amount of disturbance..

Chad,

I like your solution for exhibition planning. Was this something that the curators implemented or you?

Many thanks, Heather

1.      Do you use the exhibitions module for all your exhibition needs—from planning to implementation to archiving?

Yes, The Morgan Library & Museum uses TMS for exhibition planning. We have a separate department called "Pending Exhibition" for these.

2.      If so, what version of TMS do you have?

TMS 2016 R2

3.      Or do you use another program/database for this?

N/A

4.      If so, what is it?

Dear colleagues,

In my search for the perfect mousetrap (in this instance, an exhibition-planning tool), I would like to pose four questions to my learned TMS colleagues:

1.      Do you use the exhibitions module for all your exhibition needs—from planning to implementation to archiving?

2.      If so, what version of TMS do you have?

3.      Or do you use another program/database for this?

4.      If so, what is it?

Any further insights or details of how your institution plans and implements an exhibition, using TMS or other programs, would be most appreciated by

Yours truly,

Christine
