Dear Christine

1.      Do you use the exhibitions module for all your exhibition needs—from planning to implementation to archiving?

At the National Gallery in London, we use TMS for exhibition planning and general arrangements, but not for managing insurance/indemnity or shipments; and due diligence for loans in is currently carried out as a paper exercise.

2.      If so, what version of TMS do you have?

2016 R2, but all our procedures were created in 9.35, and reflect the functionality available at the time. As what we do has changed significantly over the last few years,  and TMS has evolved, we’re planning a complete overhaul of the loans and exhibitions modules as soon as I can get the staff to do it.

3.      Or do you use another program/database for this?

N/a

4.      If so, what is it?

N/a

Best wishes

Rupert

Subject: Using TMS for exhibition planning

Dear colleagues,

In my search for the perfect mousetrap (in this instance, an exhibition-planning tool), I would like to pose four questions to my learned TMS colleagues:

1.      Do you use the exhibitions module for all your exhibition needs—from planning to implementation to archiving?

2.      If so, what version of TMS do you have?

3.      Or do you use another program/database for this?

4.      If so, what is it?

Any further insights or details of how your institution plans and implements an exhibition, using TMS or other programs, would be most appreciated by

Yours truly,

Christine
