Hi Christine! 1 -- At the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts we are starting to use the exhibition module for implementation. I would love to see all the exhibitions and rotations in TMS so that we have a proper archive, but for those where it seems like extra work for the registrars I have not been pushing it. 2 -- right now TMS 2012 3/4 -- most planning is done in Excel since not everyone involved in the planning process has or wants to use TMS It's interesting that you should mention exhibition planning, since I have had a curator contact me in the last couple of days about creating TMS records for works that will be in a catalog for an upcoming exhibition but not physically in the exhibition itself. My gut reaction was that if it's not part of our collection or a physical object we will be taking temporary custody of, it shouldn't be in the collections database. BUT I would love to hear other opinions on the subject. Does anyone else have "research" records like this in their TMS database?
