Hi Ana,

Yes, when you go to print, I told it to sort by object number so I can fussy-select which objects are to be printed. It's a scroll through system, but I'll take it compared to fighting with CR.

My best example would be printing a group of barcodes for a group of works of paper stored in one solander. You can go through and select the object numbers (holding down ctrl) in order to print out the entire solander box in one go.

Does that help?

Best,
Sarah

Thank you for your reply Sarah.

You mentioned that you have to query the object number in the program to get the barcode. Does BarTender allow to work with batches of barcodes imported from TMS?

I should add that the BarTender program was reccomended for use with Zebra printers (which is why we purchased it).

We use BarTender for our barcode report software. Works great with TMS! It has a user friendly layout so you can see what you want to generate. The only slight downside is that you have to query the object number in the program to get the specific barcode, but you get used to that after a time

Basic level comes with one license for one machine, but that hasn't been an issue for us as one person. Is responsible for generating the labels.

We have had to temporarily suspend the braiding process for now, but I cannot speak enough praise about BarTender.

Hello everyone,

We are implementing a barcode project in our museum and we are currently using Crystal Reports for our barcode labels. As I’m sourcing out equipment for label and tag printing, and I’m getting contradictory info from the representatives about the compatibility between Zebra printers and Crystal Reports, I wanted to ask the TMS community about this. Have you had experience with using these?

Thank you,

Ana
