Hi Folks, We have a very 'draft' data standard/guidelines document for our Exhibitions module (attached), though have not updated it since upgrading to TMS2016 earlier in the year. (As the name indicates, it's for TMS 2012.) A few of our staff are trying it out, but it has not been finalized or rolled out generally yet. There is plenty of work to be done on it, but perhaps it will be helpful as is. I will be getting back to it in the coming months, so am interested in seeing what the rest of you have put together!

Thanks,

Frances

Correct me if I am wrong, but something very basic.  I believe a checklist or workflow as to how you build exhibitions in the exhibitions module. For example, 1. Create a working title for the exhibition 2. Create a mnemonic for the checklist objects 3. etc..

Hi Chad,

I would also be very interested in this! We have been slowly been entering
our exhibition archive records, which seemed pretty straight forward, since
it is just entering something that has already happened and all information
is finalized (liked checklists, approved venues, loans, dates, etc.).
However, we are just starting to try and use for ongoing exhibition
development and it seems a bit tricky to identify a good workflow between
registrars and curators to use while planning exhibitions. So we have been
testing out different workflows but have not yet settled on anything final.
I would be interested to know if anyone out there is having curators enter
data in the exhibitions module (including new records - exhibitions, loans,
objects, constituents for future planning purposes.

Hi Karen,

We are in the same situation as you. We do have a very few curators entering in new data, but have not settled on a workflow. This year, we plan to create an in-house TMS procedures manual and Exhibition planning would be part of it. Like Chad intimated, I would rather not reinvent the wheel if someone out there has a good system already in place.
