Hi Jon,

Appreciate your clarifications. I have the entity relationship diagrams from 2012. So, are the diagrams available updated to TMS 2018 (we just upgraded, as of yesterday). Or do the 2012-era diagrams + document summarizing changes for 2016 cover everything?

Best,

Aaron

Hi All

Media-related Constituents are linked to MediaRenditions not MediaMaster. For the vast majority of clients where only one media file is ever related to a TMS media record, one row in the MediaMaster table is related to one row in the MediaRenditions table, which has Tableid = 322.

So, the Tableid in ConXrefs for MediaRendtions is 322 and the ID is the MediaRenditionID. As Geoffrey points out, link from ConXrefs to ConXrefDetails and from ConXrefDetails to Constituents to fetch the DisplayName, and filter out the ‘UnMasked’ row on ConXrefDetails i.e. {ConXrefDetails.UnMasked} = True (there are 2 rows inserted into ConXrefDetails for every Conxref row to support ConstituentAnonymity: one row has ‘UnMasked’ value =1 and another row has ‘UnMasked’ value = 0: this is represented by Crystal Reports as True/False)

The schema diagrams can be downloaded from the Community Portal (contained in Upgrade Packages, as Rupert points out). The schema diagrams weren’t updated for TMS 2016 and TMS 2016R2, but a document summarising the changes was produced for both. The full set of schema diagrams is available for all other versions of TMS, including TMS 2017 and 2018.

Best wishes

Jon

Thanks, Rupert. I will give this a try. We just (as of yesterday) upgraded to TMS 2018. I'm test-piloting it to make sure everything still works fine for us, then having our IT people port everyone else over.

Best,

Aaron

Try ConXrefs.TableID = 322.

23 would be linking constituents to constituents, which is handled in the Associations table.

I usually refer to the schema diagrams to confirm the relevant joins; they'll be in your folder of upgrade files, though I think were last issued in 2014: the ones I use (and we're on 2016 R2) are in ..\TMS2014_(from_2012)\Documentation\Data Dictionary\TMS 2014 Schema diagrams.

Hope this helps!

I'm working with this but I'm a little confused; there is no tableID = 23 in ConXrefs.TableID.

Best,
Aaron

Attached is a picture of the table linking you'll need to use. Selection formula must include {ConXrefs.TableID} = 23 (meaning constituents) and {ConXrefDetails.UnMasked} = True.

Hi, all,

Has anyone ever created a report that reports on media-related constituents? Despite all my efforts, I'm failing miserably at this. Any advice or actual reports is greatly appreciated.

All my best,
Aaron
