Hi J'Laine,

MORA is a browser-based application developed for LACMA staff to schedule
and track the movement of artworks for various purposes like conservation,
viewings, installations, photography, etc. The functional and technical
requirements were scoped in-house as a collaborative effort between the
Collection Information and Digital Assets department and Information
Systems, and built by a vendor (Lightmatter). Launched in August of 2018,
daily users of this platform include staff from Art Preparation and
Installation, Collections Management, Registration, Curatorial,
Conservation, and Photography Services. LACMA hosts MORA and TMS
on-premises and have integrated the systems such that users have near
real-time access to object and component information (including locations
and containers) as well as the ability to reference TMS packages. MORA's
database includes multiple cache tables that invoke regular data pushes
from TMS and upon the successful completion of an art movement, inserts an
updated value for the location and/or container for objects and components
back into TMS. If you have further questions, we'd be happy to schedule a
call off line.
