Dear April I'd suggest having one entry in the Bibliography module per publication, with each copy represented by a different shelfmark or similar entry in, say, Alternate Numbers. That way, you'd link the object record to the publication in the abstract sense, and then individual physical manifestations (copies) of that publication would be listed in Alternate Numbers. This doesn't work, of course, if you're using the Bibliography module to manage your library, as you will need to track individual manifestations of each publication. So I don't know if I'm helping much. Now we want to link relevant reference books to our objects. However, we often have more than one copy of a book. Does anyone have any suggestions for choosing the main copy of a book and only linking that copy to our objects? I tried making one book the parent copy and then linking the other copies as child copies, but when you go to the objects module you can still choose the child copies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
