Hi All,

As of TMS 2018, when a new field is added to an existing Flex Field group it will be added to all previous records that already contain the group so you do not need to run any SQL scripts to add the new field manually.

Cheers,

Graeme

New flex fields that are added to a group will not appear in records where the group has already been added. You will need to execute a SQL script to insert the new field(s) into existing instances of the group.

Subject: Adding to Flex Field Groups

Dear colleagues

Does anyone have any experience of adding to Flex Field Groups once they’ve been implemented and data has been added to them? I’m planning to implement an FFG for all Constituent records, to which I expect I will need to add further, as yet undefined, fields in due course; can this be done without loss of data; and how would one go about adding that new field to the group, for records where it’s already been added and populated?

With thanks and best wishes

Rupert
