Hi Ariel! Sounds like the best way forward is to make a list of what you want, at least for a first round, and ask Gallery Systems for an estimate, and then compare. A simple update on an existing report can take a few minutes. A really complex report can take a couple of hours. The minimum charge at Gallery Systems for a-la-carte work is half a day, which, last time I asked, was $900, or $225 an hour. Support plus comes out to $200/hour, and you can use an hour here and an hour there, but you have only a year to use all your 40 hours of support. If you think you're going to want lots of customization and reports, alerts, new listviews, etc, then it might be worth it. This might be the case if your institution is just getting started with TMS. Support Plus also means (and don't tell me we don't ALL have to deal with this) that you are only asking for money from your institution once instead of having to ask for money every time you need something special out of TMS.

Welcome to the TMS club!

My institution recently converted to TMS and wants to get some customized reports since the out-of-the-box ones aren't quite serving our needs in terms of workflows. Has anyone purchased the SupportPlus package? Is it worth the $8,000 price tag or is it better to buy those services a-la-carte? I don't know how long a report takes to make or edit, nor do I know how many we need at this time.
