External Email - Exercise Caution At the DIA we do not display regular long-term loans on our website. We have images of Guest of Honor Loans, which are one-offs that are considered like a mini exhibition, and we display a selection of loans from current exhibitions. But these are found on the exhibition pages, not individual object records from the collection search feature. We had a complaint several years ago from a patron who was dismayed that his long-term loan of a Korean vase was not searchable on the website. Terry L. Mia does not currently display any loan objects on our collections site, but some of us would like to move in that direction. Thanks, and Happy New Year to everyone! If so, how do you indicate to users these are on long-term loan and not part of your institutions permanent collection? Are only certain long-term loans shown, for instance WPA objects? This topic has come up as we are in the process of redesigning our collection pages. Any advice, procedures, or polices, on this issue is appreciated. Happy New Year!
