Good morning all,
We at Orsay are still quite new to TMS, having it since 2015. Since then we've moved from one version to the next quite quickly (today R2018.2) and we'd wish to switch to TMS collection as soon as possible. However, we've developped quite somme customed functionalities or reports (especially for our loans) and probably still will for drawings, prints and archives in one hand and for following our in house exhibitions on the other hand next year. So switching to TMS collection will be decided on wether TMS Collections gives us the same level of functionalities.
We bet that by the end of 2021 or 2022, probably the time we'll be ready for that, TMS Collections would have enhanced its capabilities to that piont.
As mentionned by Judith, we have the feeling that custimizing screens will be easier and their general look and easy web-like use will definitely conquer our users.
But I'd be interested as well to hear more about advanced or long-term users about the advanced fucntionalities/features or use of Loans or Exhibitions modules for example.
What made you decide or keep you from switching to TMS Collection ?
Hope this conversation will heldp GS for setting TMS Collection beyond our hesitation.

We have set up a test installation for TMS Collections. A core team is testing the functions. The installation was smoothly done and the system is quite fast. We do like the user interface and the composer is easy to learn and to create customized data entry forms. But we have found out that there are some core functions we daily use in TMS which are not available yet. Such as searching for constituents by operators (begin, contain, by name etc.) and the result list does not separate primary and alternate names. Another pain is adding more than one attribute, it has do be done one by one. Adding images by drag&drop, referencing crystal reports and some more little details are still giving us trouble.
We are midst in this evaluation process and will decide in summer whether we will update to TMS collection already this year.

Hello TMS Users,
I am looking to connect myself and my Registration team to other TMS Collections system users.
I am a new member of the staff at Perez Art Museum Miami and have not used TMS since 2015.
I am also new to TMS Collections, the new product, browser based version of TMS.
I’m looking forward to connecting with other users to learn more.
Am I in the right place? Have most museums switched to the new product?
Due to privacy issues Gallery Systems can’t tell me how many museums are using the new version or who they are.
Hoping to find other users here or be directed to where I can find them.
