External Email - Exercise Caution

Dear colleagues

I’ve been asked to try and find out how other organisations have approached the task of retrospectively putting published (print) catalogues online. If this is something that your organisation are, or have been, doing, would you mind, please answering a couple of questions for me (or putting me in touch with someone else who could answer them)?

  1. What format did you publish the catalogue in?

  1. What approach did you take to the re-publication of images for which you didn’t own the rights? I guess the options are:
    1. They’d already been already cleared for online use
    2. Re-cleared rights but kept original credit lines
    3. Re-cleared rights but updated credit lines
    4. Just took the risk and published regardless)

And if you wanted to throw in a link or two, I’d be extra grateful ….

With thanks and best wishes

Rupert
