The National Gallery is seeking a pro-active, flexible and knowledgeable individual for three years to work part-time with the Collection Information Manager, taking on aspects of day-to-day business during the delivery of the Gallery's Digital Dossier Programme
(DDP), an ambitious research infrastructure and knowledge-enabling change programme which aims to make ‘everything we know about our pictures available to everyone’.
The work will involve deputising for the Collection Information Manager: managing and developing areas of the Gallery’s collection information systems (Gallery Systems’ TMS and Knowledge Integration’s CIIM), including user support; and ensuring that the
Gallery’s collection information is fit for purpose and evolves along with the Gallery's processes and requirements.
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge and thinking ability gained through experience; has a high level of IT literacy including the MS Office suite and SQL; significant experience of working with museum documentation and/or collection information; and experience of using and administering the front end and report templates of a sophisticated modern digital collections management system (ideally Gallery Systems’ TMS).
