Hello,

We do the same as Julie at The Menil Collection, however we use a suffix [objectnumber]-RP1 for the first time its reprinted and RP2 for the second time etc.

Hi Fatima,
We make individual object records for each installation.
We add a number after the object number.
The second time object 2001-010 was installed the object number was 2001-010.2.

When the installation came down the object record for the installation was given an object status of retired and a location of discarded.

We also link this object record to the main object record with a parent child relationship.
Original source / derivative produced.

Good luck,
Julie

Hello TMS folks!

How does your organization number installation works that are destroyed and recreated each time they are displayed in the galleries?

Do you have a component for each iteration? Or a single component whose location changes from gallery to "disassembled" or something like that? And how do you number those components? a, b, c?

Thanks as always for sharing your wisdom!

Fatima
