Totally! I'm going to try to get a small committee of registrars and curators together to review standards for specific fields. Has anyone else done this? Any advice???

I can’t disagree with that statement.

But making them is hard, particularly because we are discovering certain topics that have never been agreed upon, so the data will be inconsistent until we’re all on the same page. The process of the collaboratively hashing it out is really necessary!

To be honest I think the harder thing than making style guides is getting users to abide by them!

There is a lot I still need to change about our style guide – but I am very much of the opinion that style guides are never “revised” but always in the process of revision as standards ultimately are subjective, fungible, and contextual.

But anyways, see attached.

Dear Fellow TMS Users,

If any of you have TMS standards or style guides that you are particularly proud of, I would love to see examples of some pages.

We are working on our guides comprehensively, and they contain so much information that formatting the pages is sometimes problematic.

Thanks in advance for any sample pages you may be able to share!

Best,

- Jeff
