Happy New Year all.
A quick reminder that we are currently inviting applications for the role of Collection Information Officer, a full-time, permanent post at Aberdeen Archives, Gallery & Museums (AAGM). The closing date is this
Sunday 8th January.
The Collection Information Officer role is involved in the development and maintenance of collections management and information activities, including documentation, inventory, storage, and digital access. You will gain System Administrator
responsibilities for our collections database The Museum System (TMS), providing support and training for staff and volunteers.
There will also be the opportunity to explore and develop innovative and creative ways to engage with AAGM’s collection data and digital assets, building on our successful work so far with Open Access images and Wikimedia projects.
The city of Aberdeen’s Recognised Collection of National Significance contains over 150,000 objects spanning a wide variety of subject areas including Fine Art, Craft & Applied Art, Fashion & Textiles, Archaeology, Social History, and Maritime
History. Our venues include the award-winning Aberdeen Art Gallery, Aberdeen Maritime Museum, and Aberdeen Treasure Hub, the purpose-built publicly accessible museum centre where this role will primarily be based.
Full time: 37 hours per week with opportunities for hybrid working
Salary: £28,803 - £32,535 per year dependent on experience
Please share this opportunity with anyone who may be interested or contact with me at
