Hi Terry,

We (also) use a separate department called presentation material and where needed we add a “presentation material” mother-child relationship (the object functions as the mother, the additional material as a child). It works well for us because everything has a number and a location and our registrars/curators/project managers can easily see there is a pedestal, vitrine, etc. already available through the relationship. The mother-child relationship also allows for multiple objects to be linked, which is helpful when things like pedestals fit multiple objects.

Best,

Sara

Hi Tracy,
the only way I can see is via the objects module, with a separate department. That's where we transferred this kind of data to when we started working with TMS Collections. In our old system we had it in the crates module and we hope for the TMS crates module to mature a bit so we can put it back there.
Best, Iris

Just to clarify, I am speaking of our stock of existing casework stored at our off site warehouse that we may reuse for multiple gallery installations or shows.

Hello folks,

Has anyone found a useful method for tracking casework or exhibition furniture in TMS? i.e. pedestals/vitrines, platforms, which may or may not be associated with specific objects. Looking for any and all creative ideas and solutions.

Terry
