Also presents education programs at schools, civic meetings and other groups to inform the public of the importance of the Reserve. Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in science or education with a background in environmental science with at least one year of experience in the field conducting and planning outreach programs and/or teaching science. An advanced degree or secondary classroom teaching experience, and/or experience leading teacher workshops are preferred. Expertise in Sunshine State Standards and curriculum design necessary. This position requires general environmental knowledge about NE FL ecosystems. Additional requirements include strong oral and written communication skills, valid driver's license, and willingness to work independently as well as with others. Weekend hours are required. Desirable experience includes: public outreach, working with volunteers, workshop development, writing and/or producing educational materials.
