Peter,

Do you use the bibliography module/section for your project? I am
thinking of using this to catalogue our library (fairly small) so I can
link books that are pertinent to the collection to certain works of art
that already exist in TMS. Does anyone else does this? Again, our
library is fairly small and most of the books are related to the
collection.

Hello,

We too have catalogued our 21,000 historic glass plate negatives of our
excavations at the Giza Pyramids (1902-1947). These are in TMS, and
using eMuseum, are also available online for scholars on the Giza
Archives Project website (www.mfa.org/giza).

Hi Katy -
We are cataloguing all of our archives, including the photographs, in
TMS. It has been both successful and rewarding to have the archives
collection searchable with the rest of the collection, in a single
system. Let me know if you have specific questions I might be able to
help you with. Allison

Subject: Cataloguing photgraphs in TMS

Hi everyone,

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has catalogued a
collection of photographs using TMS. Our archives is preparing to
catalogue its photograph collection, which is many and varied to say the
least... These are not "rights and reproductions" images of our art
collection, but rather original prints, film negatives, and glass plate
negatives that we consider to be "objects" (albeit archival and not part
of our art collection) in their own right.

Please contact me off-list. If anyone is interested in what the
responses are, I am happy to post a summary to the list.

Thanks,

Katy
