You can customize the prefix that accompanies a role in the authorities. We use roles such as "attributed artist" and "after artist" with accompanying prefixes. True that a search on Rembrandt contains results that are attributions but the display clearly indicates that. Also the role is conveniently searchable in the Query Assistant. Bonus...the customized prefix is entered automatically on selection of the role when adding a constituent to an object. Role "Armorer" has the prefix "Made by the armorer;" role "Studio" has prefix "Studio of"--saves lots of data entry errors.

I thought I'd share my response to Dana with the group
Hi Dana,
Here at the New Brunswick Museum in Canada, we have been entering "after" or "attributed to" in the prefix. The role would be Artist or whatever. One thing we found, and have to keep in mind, is if you change the role, for example you want to change it from Artist to Draughtsman to be more specific, the entry in the prefix is deleted and you have to put it in again.
