I have used an iPad several times with TMS using 2X Client to RDP to my desktop. It is a free RDP app. It does require the desktop to be set up allowing RDP connections and the client to be configured but it works well. It is running over our wireless network.

I have a Bluetooth keyboard for the iPad and am able to use it within TMS instead of using the onscreen keyboard. This makes it much easier to use. 2X Client also has a mouse icon that you can click on that will give you the click to select ability.

Google Chrome has an RDP app that works nicely on Apple products. I've used it on an Apple laptop, but not an ipad yet.

I installed a free RDP app called TeamViewer 7 on an ipad, but it was unusable since the desktop image was too small to be readable (at least for me).

Both software require an installation on the Apple product and your office workstation and a unique ID/password.

All of our users (even locally) use remote desktop to run TMS from PCs,
Macs, iPads and iPhones. Everyone uses whatever RDP client they want to. For
the iPad a pretty good one is "Jump" from Phase Five Systems. It costs
$14.99. I use Jaadu RDP for my iPhone. The keyboards are a pain, of course,
but when you need to look something up at an unexpected time or place, it's
great to be able to use a computer in your pocket.

Anyone out there access TMS remotely on an iPad? If so, I'd be interested in
knowing what the pros and cons are of using TMS remotely on an iPad vs. a
laptop.

thanks,
Maja
