Stephanie,
I used a professional bluegrass musician who established and runs the only
four-year degree program in bluegrass music in the country here at one of
our state colleges. (Hey, it's probably better than a business degree right
about now!) The college has also hosted our state folk music festival since
1950 and he is involved in that too with a strong knowledge of the
indigenous styles of our mountain music.

Subject: New Harmonies Scholar
Hello all,
Our state is hosting New Harmonies in 2012, so I'm in the process of
searching for scholars and host sites. For those states who have already
had the exhibit, is it best to look for scholars with Music Ed. backgrounds
or is there another discipline I should be focusing on?
Thanks for your help!
Stephanie
