External Email - Exercise Caution
Dear Jennifer,
I would be very interested in purchasing your dye samples and recipes. I am a textile conservator in New York with a newly launched private practice. Your dye samples and recipes would be a helpful addition to my small stock/recipes.
Could we email or zoom to discuss what you would like to receive for your collection and dye manual?
Best wishes,
Kathleen Martin

Hello textile conservators,
As a former textile conservator and lecturer, I am finally de-cluttering the last of my professional papers.
Amongst them are dozens of dyeing sample made in search of the perfectly matching colour to be used as a support fabric, patch or overlay. Fabrics are wool, silk, nylon and cotton: some threads/yarns too. The exact recipes are included.
Ranges of mixtures of 2 to three colours and depth of shade in sample of 8 shades.
There’s also an extensive dyeing manual I compiled when teaching back in the 1980s and 90s.
Perhaps digital colour readings are made these days to measure the exact colour and how to achieve it using something like a paint colour-mixing machine. But maybe some of you are still using colour sense along with beakers and stirrers.
If there is any interest, I will dig them out and describe what's on offer.
These samples are the result of lots of work, so I won’t be giving them away. Make me an offer!
Kind regards,
Jennifer
