The Textile Specialty Group has extended the deadline for consideration for
abstracts for the 44th Annual Meeting, held jointly with the 42nd Annual
CAC-ACCR Conference, in Montreal, Canada, May 13-17, 2016.

Please consider submitting an abstract to share your work!

Talks in the TSG session may address the meeting theme or other aspects of
textile conservation.

The meeting theme is “Preparing for Disasters and Confronting the
Unexpected in Conservation”. Colleagues are invited to submit abstracts
that address the impact of past, present, and future disasters on the
protection of cultural property and on textile collections in particular.

Papers that address planning and collections care practices that mitigate
damage during and following disasters would be welcome as would papers that
address recovery actions, recovery treatments, or evaluation of measures
taken in past emergencies. In addition, papers that address confronting the
unexpected in textile conservation whether it occurs during the treatment
of an artifact or during a natural disaster are requested.

Abstracts on other aspects of textile conservation practice and treatment
are also welcome!

Abstracts for Textiles (TSG) will be accepted up to 11:59pm EST on Friday,
