We're hoping to adopt eMuseum as our front-facing catalog, and I'd love to
hear your experiences with the initial installation and set-up. We'd be
replacing a home-brew Blacklight application, so this would be a new
installation and not an upgrade. How demanding of technical staff
resources, and for how long, was it for your institution? Were there any
surprises, unexpected troubles or behaviors? Are the customizations
something that you can do within your department, or do you still need to
rely on tech staff to, say, change the layouts of the image galleries, etc.
(this degree of customization may be new to eMuseum 6, I'm not sure).
Anything, positive or otherwise, you can tell me to help me make a
realistic pitch to my bosses will be much appreciated.
