Sorry – typo. Microsoft supplies a Remote Desktop client for Mac, not a TMS
client.

Subject: RE: TMS on Microsoft Terminal Services?

Hi Ariana,

The Diebenkorn Catalogue Raisonné has been using Remote Desktop for a long
time. Users are scattered all over the country. We have only six TMS
licenses, but often all are in use simultaneously. That means six instances
of TMS running on a server with a single processor and 2 gigs of RAM. We
rarely have any performance problems unless a big copy or backup is under
way. Being a 501(c)(3) we could buy the client access licenses (CALs)
through Tech Soup so they were practically free. Our users run XP, Macs (for
which Microsoft supplies a TMS client) and also XP on Macs under Boot Camp.
Technically we have had very few problems.

Feel free to call if you have questions.

Subject: TMS on Microsoft Terminal Services?

Hello all,

Does anyone use Microsoft Terminal Services (now called Remote Desktop
Services) to deliver TMS to your users? If so, would you please share your
opinions of this configuration and your hardware and network specifications?
We’re trying this out for a small group of users and any feedback is
appreciated.

Thank you-

Ariana
