Our methods for noting a missing object are a simple status flag and a curatorial note with further explanation of the status flag, the date, and the name of the person who made the note. We save the conservation notes for condition, damage, and repairs. I see there is no ‘loss / damage’ module in TMS,* so am considering using the Conservation module. But before I do anything, I’d be interested to know how the rest of you are recoding this kind of information – and, if you’re willing to share them, I’d love to have a look at your guidelines for doing so. With thanks and best wishes Rupert * Why not?
