Special Instructions to Applicants: 	This is a 24 month term position.   
Position Purpose: 	To manage the Hood Museum of Art's database migration from Argus to The Museum System (TMS) by Gallery Systems. 

As Project Manager, responsible for planning, implementation, and completion of the Hood Museum of Art's migration of the museum collections database from Argus to The Museum System (TMS) by Gallery Systems. As Digital Asset Manager, responsible for planning and implementing an indexing program for the museum's digital assets, including obtaining assets and organizing their access to various users. 
This is a two year term position.   
Skills & Knowledge: 	Working knowledge of Gallery Systems TMS and of Adobe PhotoShop. 

Knowledge of museum collections management systems and operations in general. 

Excellent attention to details and follow-up skills essential. 

Excellent organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills. Able to facilitate teamwork and stakeholder involvement. 

Knowledge of database design and management. 

Ability to work under multiple deadlines. 

Technical understanding of asset management. 

Familiarity with art research sources (bibliographic and electronic). 

Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.   
Minimum Experience: 	Project management experience essential. 

Two years digital asset management experience. 

Experience dealing with large numbers of digital photographs.   
Minimum Education: 	Bachelor's degree in related field or the equivalent in experience and education.
