Hello Courtney:

It sounds like you actually want to activate the form (not export
it)...I've answered both questions, just in case.

Activating a Custom Data Entry Form

If your goal is to 'use' the custom data entry form in TMS, all you need
to do is 'activate' it. To activate the form, you simply change the
form's Active status, from False to True. This is done in the Properties
section of the Design Palette:

Be sure to save the form one last time, before closing it.

Importing/Exporting custom data entry forms

The only reason to export a form (in your situation) is to share it
w/TMS users at another institution. You can send it as an attachment in
an email, then the individual receiving the custom form file can Import
it into his/her system.

To export a custom form, you go to File>Export (upper left corner of
Form Designer screen). You will be asked where you want to save the file
and with what name.

The person receiving the form would do the same, but he/she would select
Import (instead) from the File Menu in the Form Designer.

Hope this helps!

Annie

Subject: Exporting from Form Designer

Hello wise ones,

I'm attempting to create my first new form in the Form Designer after
watching Annie's presentation at Collective Imagination. Can anyone give
me a step-by-step tutorial on how to export from Form Designer to TMS?

I can't figure it out!
