Packages display by default in alphabetical order in TMS, so that’s how they’re rendered in most standard eMuseum installations.
You can control the ordering of objects within packages, but when browsing we generally use the default sort instead. As Lindsey said, that’s usually alphabetically by title but can easily be changed.
Packages can be used in many different ways in eMuseum, and there are multiple options for sorting object results. Please see the screenshots below. Hello Karen,
In my experience the order in which objects display on eMuseum is not tied to the order within object packages but to the default list view on eMuseum – which is usually organized in alphabetical order. Other ways of ordering records in list view online have to be set up by the developers (numerical by object number, by date, by some other means, etc.).
I don’t know if this is how it is for everyone but that’s how it seems to work for us in our current version of our online database.

Hi All,
We are new to emuseum and have various object packages that will be published on our site. Currently the object packages all display, however, the order in which we would like the specific objects to appear is not displayed when the package is published in emuseum. The objects within the object packages have been reordered correctly within the object packages and saved, however they still do not appear in emuseum in the same order. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there might be a remedy for it?
