Hello all-

We at the Philadelphia Museum of Art have used and continue to use bar codes
with TMS to move large numbers of objects. I am attaching is a sort of FAQ
that I have developed over time in response to the many calls I have
received from other museums about our methodology. I am happy to answer
more specific questionss about the way we have used bar codes during the
moves, but this document answers quite a few of the most general questions.
I will keep adding to the FAQ as new issues come up.

Our registrars like the TMS/bar code system very much. It's an extremely
powerful tool for rapid and accurate location data entry and tracking.

As ever.

Jenny Wilker
