As with others, we are capturing the VIAF URL in the Alt Number field, as
well as (separately) ULAN, Wikidata ID and ISSN numbers. This may prove
superfluous, but we think initially if we're touching the records we may as
well. (And we doing it manually for the moment). We have not encountered
any URLs or other authority IDs that are to long for the Alt Number field
thus far.
