Hi all:

Just want to let you know there are two topics in the F1 TMS 2010 Help
File related to Alerts. Hit F1 anywhere while in TMS, and search for
'alerts.' Very basic but they explain what they are with a few examples.
These topics together w/the webinar should give you a good sense of
what's possible and what's required.

Hi Sara,

I've noticed that webinar hasn't been working too. It would be great if
Gallery Systems would post the queries they did on the webinar to help
get our feet wet since the webinar is unavailable.

Seeing this sql that Jessica Milby at Philadelphia replied to my recent
cry for help made it possible for me to set one up for expiring loans.
You set up the alerts in the listview designer. Create a new alert and
paste your sql into the sql box. Hit save and then you can add the
user(s) you want to see them.

Select Loans.LoanNumber, Constituents.DisplayName As 'Lender/Borrower',
Loans.EndISODate as EndDate

from Loans inner join vConXrefs_Classic on
Loans.PrimaryConXrefID=vconxrefs_classic.ConXrefID

inner join Constituents on
vConXrefs_Classic.ConstituentID=Constituents.ConstituentID

where  len(Loans.EndISOdate) = 10 /*if len is 10, date has year and
month and day*/ and
datediff(week,getdate(),convert(datetime,loans.EndISODate,121)) between
0 and 8

Order By Loans.EndISODate

It helps me to do a crystal report and then go to database>show sql
query to start setting up the sql for an alert.

Subject: TMS Alerts

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has been using the Alerts feature in TMS 2010
R2. I'd like to start using it for Rights and Reproduction clearances,
but I can't seem to figure out how to work them. The webinars on Gallery
System's webpage aren't working for me and there is no documentation
about how to use the Alerts feature. I've inquired about the webinar not
working but have yet to hear back. If anyone has been using Alerts, I'd
love to hear how.

Thanks!
