New Email Group and Project Communications
Welcome to the TMSUSERS email group! This group has been created as a way to communicate monthly updates and occasional announcements about TMS, progress on the conversion, and its on-going implementation.
Please note this is a limited-permissions, one-way email group for general announcements. Members of this group will not be able to reply directly to this email.
But there are ways to reach out! Given the large number of staff affected by this project, the following avenues for communicating back to the implementation team have been put in place. These avenues may evolve as the project deepens and becomes more complicated, but for now, please use one of the two:
FOR TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS:
As any requests, feedback, or issues arise having to do with the technical implementation of TMS itself, including its functionality, available fields, location of data, extra data sources etc., the below link will take you to a Google form where you can log your request. For example, your department has started tracking research requests, and will need to work with the DB Admin to find out the best way to do that in TMS.

FOR GENERAL QUESTIONS:
For now, continue to email Collections Manager Adele Barbato ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) directly with any general questions you may have regarding the overall timeline of the project, its deliverables, and the process of implementation itself.
Phase III: Pre-Conversion Progress Updates
-Source data will be submitted to Gallery Systems at the end of next week. Once Gallery Systems has all of FAMSF's data, we will begin to work with them to map how data will transfer into TMS, and which data will need conversion cleaning.
-Final round interviews are taking place for the Database Administrator this week. A hiring decision is expected this week or next.
-FileMaker contractor Rob Costin is working with FAMSF this week and next to significantly streamline the export of data from FileMaker. A meeting will take place later this week with the current users of FileMaker to communicate how this work will affect any workflows.
New Resources
-A new article was published recently that case-studies the implementation of Conservation Studio at the Frick Collection. Members of the implementation team and conservation will be meeting with Frick via phone this week to talk about their implementation in more detail.
