We at the Diebenkorn catalogue raisonné project have roughly 500 object
records which include this info. We enter auction details this way –
hopefully our listserv will allow my attached jpeg which provides a
screenshot– and it displays perfectly in our custom Crystal report.

However, I have not yet been successful at searching for this data by date
or lot number. Adv Query>Ex-Collection Related Constituents>Display Date
looks promising but I have never found it to succeed at a search for this
data (even “contains” or “equal to” with the exact data at hand). Our
workaround is to create a biblio record for the auction catalogue, give it a
call number with auction date like “Sotheby’s 06-3-2” and then go to the
related objects if I’m in pursuit of one object record in particular.

Subject: tracking auction records

Does anyone use TMS to keep track of auction records for individual pieces?
If you do, I'm interested in finding out where you record this data.

Many thanks!
