Thanks for your response Jeri
That's an idea. I have only just started using this module and am
putting the ISBN as an alternate number since some publications have 2
ISBN (paperback/hardback) etc.
I had wondered if users used a recognized classification system e.g.
Dewey, but maybe that would be overcomplicating things!
Best wishes
Caroline

Jeri - (and everyone) -
If you have a publication that does not have an ISBN (a graduate thesis
for example), do you have a back-up numbering system? (besides 001,
002, 003....).

Hi Caroline,
We enter the ISBN, prefaced by "ISBN: " in the reference number
field.

Subject: Bibliography Module - reference number field
Hello All
Just wondering whether you use the reference number field when
completing a record in the Bibliography Module? If, so what system do
you use for assigning these reference numbers?
Man thanks
Caroline
