GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
You will provide user support and training for the museum's new conservation documentation system Conservation Studio, which will be used across all conservation departments and scientific research. You will be responsible for first level user support, conduct user training, and will create new database reports as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  *   Support conservators, scientists, interns, fellows, and other staff using Conservation Studio.
  *   Conduct individual and group training sessions.
  *   Develop and maintain training documents for conservation staff.
  *   Create and maintain database reports.
  *   Perform database testing during system upgrades.
  *   Audit database records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  *   Maintain training documents on team intranet site.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  *   1 year working with museum cataloguing or collections management system with strong preference for proven experience with The Museum System (TMS), required.
  *   Strong technical knowledge of reporting software (SSRS or Crystal reports preferred).
  *   Strong relational database skills (SQL Server preferred)
  *   Experience with end-user support and service; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  *   Excellent organizational, proofreading, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  *   Ability to work independently.
  *   Ability to communicate technical information in a clear, engaging, and concise manner.
  *   Degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Information Science, or equivalent experience.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

  *   Pay Range : $70,000 - $75,000  / Annually
  *   The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role. The advertised pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.

Location Requirements
At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. "Commuting distance" means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the "Tri-state and PA" areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
