I've been contemplating using the Media View Type for the kind of photo
being attached:

   - Identification Photo - The object is photographed on a neutral
   background with standard lighting.
   - Technical Photo - The object is being lit to highlight structural
(raking light, transmittive light, radiography, different wave lengths).
   - Contextual - The object is photographed *in situ* or contextualized
with other objects in a set or ensemble.
   - Artistic Photo - The object is being lit dramatically, or cropped for
   artistic effect.

The downside is that the Media View Type is not visible on the Media Tab in
other modules.
