David,

With Crystal XI you can define a File location for an image. Simply
insert any image into the report. Once it is in there you can
right-click and choose Format Graphic. The last tab is Hyperlink and on
that tab you can select the radio button for A File. The File Name: box
give the option to define a formula (X+2). You can click on that and
then define a formula to pull the file information from the underlying
TMS tables (MediaPaths.Path and MediaFiles.FileName).

Subject: linking large images to Crystal Reports

I know this comes up from time to time, but of course I can't find my
notes... We should be able to now link larger JPG images to a crystal
report even when that image does not reside on the TMS server, right?
Is there a simple explanation for how to do that without taking up too
much of any of your time?

Your help would be GREATLY appreciated!

David
