Ms. Elliott:

We record auction records as part of Object Provenance, and if available
also PDF the actual auction catalogue page (web and/or print versions) with
sale results, and associate this doc as a media file (hard copy to
collection archives). Since there is little agreement among museum
professionals over citation standards and provenance research generally is
an emerging field, we have opted for the standard set by the National
Gallery of Art as our model (documentation attached).

Subject: tracking auction records

Does anyone use TMS to keep track of auction records for individual pieces?
If you do, I'm interested in finding out where you record this data.

Many thanks!
